I can say, though, that this may change. Adobe have bunked up on it and communicated their policies so poorly, they need to do something about it. I can't be more specific due to NDAs.

I was just told from a couple of friends that I need to buy 5.5 before buying the CS6 upgrade when it is released (most likely in 2012). I was planning that Adobe would honor it’s usual route of adding another $200 to the upgrade cost from a step behind the curve. I.E. $599 to upgrade from CS4 to CS 5.5 vs $399 for the CS5 to CS 5.5 upgrade. Is that the case? If so I best be buying before end of year I guess.
