Plus the cost of Adobe software in Australia is nearly twice the cost as the US so it's not a trivial expense like it is in the US, especially if you take into account any 3rd party software or hardware you have to upgrade to take advantage of a new release. Having said that, given I pay a significant premium for my "perpetual" license because I live outside the US, the subscription pricing if applied worldwide in US dollars would be quite attractive to me, although given Adobe's previous form in this area I expect the subscription pricing here in Australia will be 60-100% more expensive than the US.
