the 2711 is only slightly larger than the 2410 in height but is wider 
(16:9 vs 16:10) imho is well worth the resolution image quality and inputs.

As for the newest 2412 it is a step backwards than the 2410 featuring an 
6bit+AFR e-IPS instead of the true 8bit H-IPS of its predecessor has 
slightly worse viewing angles, less connections and is edge led lit 
rather than ccfl which leads to less screen uniformity compared to the 
ccfl one but slightly better black point.
