You can choose to purchase the perpetual license just like in the past. There is a discount for the perpetual license if you are upgrading from CS5 or CS5.5, very similar to in that past (the difference being that the upgrade discount doesn't go back as far). Or, if you don't want the perpetual license, you can use the monthly subscription model.
