If you do a little reading between the lines, you can assume that there are some things coming, some things will be rectified, some things will be re-defined, including what Adobe sees as "the cloud" and pricing models. I'm just not at liberty to divulge anything yet.

What I'm wondering is, what's the big difference between what adobe is already doing as "subscription" versus Calling this new licensing "cloud".  Because aside from being able to use a few mobile app things and little online services which I'll probably never even look into, a monthly payment to use the software sounds the same as subscription to me. 
 
Guess we'll have to see.

CS6 is gonna suck for many reasons, but that's not one of them. Just like the current subscription, you get access to the latest version and do not need to own any prior version at all, much less a permanent license of the current one. The only downside is, of course, that once your subscription ends you're left without anything at all...
