| Greetings everyone,
If my life and schedule were and AE layer, this is the time of year I'd be "Easing In" to a soft landing. Time to slow down for a week or so and reflect on all that is good in my sphere. This list certainly is part of that.
I too want to say thank you to all who make this list community such a wonderful place. I truly believe there is nothing quite like it anywhere else. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.
And a word of encouragement to everyone, if there is any way you can make it to NAB, and particularly the MediaMotion Ball, you'll have the opportunity to take this great community to a very human, powerful new level. List members from, quite literally, every continent on the planet (except Antarctica?) are there, all sharing an evening together. Great opportunity to connect faces with names and forge even deeper connections with the gang.
All the best for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2012!
All the best, Carey

Hi all,
First of all I would like to wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New
Year.
I am really appritiate the help all of you. I make AE jobs rarely
but when I am stucked always found somebody who helps to move on.
Because I am not an expert like the most of the people here, I can
help only in simple problems.
When I started to learn After Effects I found this list very
shortly, I have asked many questions and learned a lot from the
answers. Only a few months later realized that the people here are
very famous and succesfull experts, trainers, writers (Chris and
Trish, Brian Maffit etc.). It was really good to see that people
like you help people like me (who is just an e-mail adress from
Europe). I am really glad that I can be the part of this group.
Thank you for everything!
Best regards

Well put Mike, and I agree with the friendliest place
comment. This community has been an invaluable source of support
and information. It has been a strong part of my life since
2007, when I so desperately needed help on a project and this
list came to the rescue. A result of which ultimately sparked my
interest in AE Scripting. I'm glad to now have the knowledge to
contribute back to this collective pool, but there is always
something new to learn. :) Thanks to everyone for being a part
of this community.

As we're coming to the end of the year... I'd
just like to say 'thanks' to all those who contribute so
generously to this list.
I've been on more than a few
lists over my 25 years or so as a studio owner and
freelancer, but I've yet to find one whose members are
more generous than those who hang out here, and who
offer the benefits of their (often vast) experience
and skills so willingly. Whatever the question - from
advanced AE techniques, to the best way to build a
garden studio shed! - there is always a willingness to
help.
And as someone who isn't an
AE specialist - I really appreciate it!
Many thanks guys and girls
- and enjoy your holidays!
