C4D serial numbers and install discs are cross platform
aren't adobe doing this now too? (seem to remember that being mentioned)
but yeah, for the most part it is kinda starting from scratch - but with Lion breaking a lot of older software (seems a new pattern with apple and each OS release breaking older apps)
you need to look into Lion and make sure your current apps will run ok - i did not upgrade to lion because four of my everyday apps (that work absolutely fine as they are under OSX 10.6.8) would need to be upgraded to run on it - so much for the $29 Lion being an inexpensive upgrade... (eventually i know i will need to do it and upgrade those apps but i'll do it a bit at a time as i see real need or benefit to - i'm getting sick of software companies and their yearly extortion upgrade fees - yeah adobe that seems to be the path you are doing down too...)
but i guess somebody's got to pay those huge bonus' to the top execs...
