The only thing macs have going for them (or did)

- industry-wide= use of FCP 7.0
- I honestly can't think of any other reason. decent= product design? better virus protection?

PCs:

- order of mag= nitude cheaper. I could stop here.
- easier to service
- easier to upgrade
- easier to modify hardware- more software available
- easier to modify software
- cheaper to = upgrade
- (more) open platform for development
- can overclock
- problems easier to fix (many of you will disagree, but the worst crashes = I've ever experienced, with 100% data loss, have been macs)

Espe= cially for 3D, where performance vs. cost and serviceability is a huge issu= e, there's no contest. I gave u= p after talking to Adobe customer service here in the netherlands.
And the 50% off bundle was much easier and the same as the upgrade cost.<= /div>

A someone who ju= st moved to windows.
At first just dual booting my nehalem mac and changing software over and us= ing all the deals.
Like the production bundle discount hich I got for wi= ndows it has not been that hard.
I thought plugins were going to be a ha= ssle but I emailed all the developers/companies and they all confirmed that=
their plugins are crossplatform on a single license.=A0

Digieffects

Our plug-ins work on both Windows and Mac and your serial should work for b= oth as well. Please let me know if you have any problems getting the serial= s authorized.

Red Giant

Our serial numbers are not Host Application or= OS specific, simply make sure you are using the correct installer for your= OS and that the host app you wish to install for is properly selected duri= ng installation.=A0

Hope that helps, let me know if you have any further questions.

And with genarts you just uninstall/deactivate and just reactivate on the n= ew system/OS

I use LW for 3d and that is also cross platform.
