Use Trapcode 3D stroke to make your cube, I managed to do it with a square mask and the replicate (or duplicate?) feature of the plugin. just try offsetting by 90 degrees with each copy. I am not sure which axiis, but I can tell you for sure it works, you may have to do it in a pre.comp depending on use.
There is also Plexus, which is just so much fun,
and Zaxworks invigorator's Hidden line renderer,
Also Yanobox "Nodes" plugin can do it too.
Or just make a vertical stroke with a shape layer, duplicate it, make them 3d, and rotate one on the Y 90 degrees. Then use that " Line" as a building block for your cube.
the more you duplicate, the more "Solid"" your line will be
hope something up there helps you.
