Trapcode 3D stroke will give you a slightly different thickness on the lines, depending on how large your cube is.

Plexus can do it, no problem. for the isometric look just use and extreme telephoto lens from really far away.
Plexus also gives the option of having no perspective on lines (for consistent thickness).  
Zaxwerks does this kind of thing great, too, with basic primitive shapes and a full-featured texture system.
Do you have any of those plugins?
There's still many ways to do it, even without plug-ins,
