Nothing past= the end gets lost. The layers don't even trim down. Once you're done with w= hat you needed just go to the comp settings and set the length back to what y= ou need.=20 Only issue would be if you create new layers as they would be trim to the ne= w length.=20 Also this may not work so well if the beginning is getting trimmed, but you= can still set the length back to original and then just select all layers a= nd drag them all right until everything lines up again at the start.
