Hi,
I'm got an upcoming stereo 3D project which will involve compositing live action footage with graphics generated within AE. There's a small team of people doing various tests now and one thing they're looking at is whether to shoot and comp with parallel cameras or converging cameras.
I've worked in stereo 3D a little and have only used parallel cameras - the 3D book by Bernard Mendiburu suggests that parallel cameras should always be used when comping live action with CGI.
So for the stereo 3D gurus out there - is there any reason or benefit to using converging cameras? Or ar e we wasting our time even considering the option?
