Only
24” but the HP Dreamcolor is about the only monitor that is
pretty decent for both. I think there is quite of bit of
info on ProVideo Coalition about using it as a reference
monitor.

A
film is – or should be – more like music than like

The theme, what’s behind the emotion, the meaning, all
that comes later.

Subject: [AE] [OT] Best monitor for graphics?
Hi all,
looking into getting 2x new 24 - 30 inch monitors, and wanted
to know what the current favorites are. Not into getting a
cinema display either. Is there anything on the market that
functions as both a standard graphics monitor and a high-end
reference monitor? Are there any LCD options that have such
good color depth you could fake it with good calibration? Does
anyone use displayport or hdmi over DVI? I have an Eizo
Coloredge CG222W that does a pretty good job at filling that
role, but I'm getting a new system and don't want to drop
another couple grand on one monitor. I don't need SDI or
broadcast monitoring per se, just something that's as neutral
as possible and has lots of color control and good brightness.
Any suggestions welcome many thanks,
-TG
