PS to AE question
Subject: [AE] PS to AE question
... an adjustment they often use that does NOT translate into AE. They have a curves adjustment with it’s own mask—simple enough. They will then put that into a Group folder and it has a separate and different mask using a “pass thru” transfer mode. The pass-thru just does not translate into AE. I need a way to remove the curves adjustment from the group, but have it retain the same effect it had when it was in the group ... -Lachlan Westfall

This can be tricky and depends very much on how the groups are set up.

Try this: temporarily set your 'pass through' group to 'normal'. Is there any change to the image? If there isn't you should simply be able to shift select all the layers in the group and 'Alt or Optn E' to merge those layers.

On the other hand, if you see a change when you do the 'pass through' v 'normal' test it's likely to be more difficult. In that case feel free to drop me a line off list.
