And then there is the aesthetic payoff of being to = work with the MacOS rather than having to settle for Windows. I know = many don't care (or even prefer the Windows aesthetic). But for some of = us this is worth a lot. I just had a small gig editing with Premiere on Windows, and while it is = hard to quantify, there is definitely a dollar value for me to being = able to work in OSX (ditto for working in FCP7/X or AVID). But that is the mystery of personal preference I guess. On Monday I shipped a 2yo Mac = Mini Server, new cost $999, that I sold on eBay for $576. $212/year with = very low administrative cost doesn't seem particularly expensive to = me.
