Huh. That’s interesting. I called at 7pm EST and had a brand new monitor 10am the next day that’s worked great. Maybe it’s a regional thing? I’m in NC and had good luck with support, but all I’ve owned is a couple of Dell monitors and had a Precision Workstation laptop for 4 years. Rest of my stuff is DIY.

A film is – or should be – more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what’s behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later.

Consider yourself lucky, I've got the Dell U2711, when I complained about an issue with the monitor they promptly sent out a "refurbished" one that was faulty, subsequent calls to support were ignored, I ended up keeping the original monitor.

Interesting. It appears that is actually same guts as Dell U2410 (http://www.prad.de/en/monitore/review/2011/review-asus-pa246q.html#Introduction) and tests almost identically. I’ve had a U2410 for a year and it has been great for the money. Asus looks little cheaper and better use mode than the Dell, but the Dell monitor warranty is pretty awesome (unlike some other Dell products especially consumer laptops) as they sent me a new monitor after some slight image burn-in. And by sent I mean, paid overnight shipping to me and paid for my return shipping.
