So - on the film we're working on we're constantly updating comps - and importing aeps inside aeps that have aeps imported. It gets messy super fast. We always grab the elements we want - reduce project and consolidate. Problem is ae seems to delete the original dupes and leave the imported versions - I'd rather have it the other way around. What is the logic AE uses to consolidate and pick which of the dupes to delete? A few of us have been searching but even Chris and Trish don't mention the logic here http://provideocoalition.com/index.php/cmg_keyframes/story/cmg_hidden_gems_chapter_43_advanced_rendering They probably do in their book! But I left it at home in Vegas and I'm in LA now. Anybody know?
