In the finder, go to View>Show status bar. That takes care of not seeing = any info in your finder. Also, grab a copy of tinkertool, that allows = you to set many things back to the way of snow leopard etc. As far as saving states, turn off restoring windows in the system prefs, = that takes care of most of the annoying crap of apps and saving states. did you do a clean install of Lion? I saw a lot of what you see when i = installed over snow leopard. A clean install is your best bet for any = major system install. Too many files change to just upgrade IMHO. you scribbled: >> In my opinion, Lions appears more dumbed down and has many features = taken from iOS that don't work very well on a desktop > BINGO! It truly was built for a consumer and not a pro. They put a = bunch of safety nets to protect people from losing work, but it honestly = just gets in the way and doesn't help at all. There are a bunch of small = annoyances that have been implemented that bug the hell out of me. = Simple things like not being able to see the remaining space on your = disk in a finder window anymore. Gotta do a get info to see it now. = Gonna stop myself here before falling down that rabbit hole. >=20 > The only other thing I've noticed with AE is that the expression panel = trips out too. It won't scroll to the bottom or top if your whole = expression isn't showing to begin with when entering the edit area, but = I'm pretty sure this isn't a Lion related thing. >=20 > David Torno > Visual Effects Artist & Supervisor > http://www.ghosttownmedia.com > O: 213.739.2290 > C: 818.391.6060 --=20 Helium14 | www.helium14.com Design | Motion + Graphic www.helium14.com 'the next best thing to knowing something, is knowing where to find it'
