| Everybody has to reason out their own purchases but in general I really find it is best to sort of "stay current" with these tools, particularly the Adobe stuff. There really isn't a strong financial incentive not too if you make your living with them, and you benefit from the latest tools and integrate them into your workflow as they roll out...as opposed to lagging behind and having a bigger, more expensive upgrade and period of learning curve/disorientation (that's an expense too) as you skip versions.
