That is good to know.
I may have to breakdown and get a new MP, so Lion will be in my future.
I guess it would be simple enough to just keep them on separate
machines though.
Time and $$$ will tell.
thanks.

Apple recommends installing FCPX on a separate partition, but in
practice FCP7 and FCPX coexist just fine (I've been using both here
for awhile). I assume FCP6 would be fine too, but Google will
probably help here. You cannot have both versions open at the same
time. There is a specific way of installing as FCP7 and FCPX have
the same name:

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4722

There is a $10 app that gets you from FCP7 to FCPX via XML. I assume
that it doesn't work for FCP6 but you can check with the developer.

The good keying has me interested in FCP for that feature.
Could I run FPC 6 AND X on the same machine in OS 10.6?
Do v6 project import properly into v10?
Dreaming?

I'm impressed -

(and the Spill Suppression doesn't add noise & need massive

I'm not trying to start a fight. Rather, I'm looking for clarity.
Anyone
here tried the FCPX 10.0.3 keying stuff yet? What do you think?
