Hey Robert, I don't want to embarrass you, but that's been possible on =
Macs ever since OSX came out.  As other's have pointed out, Lloyd's =
Background Render script, and AME are even more elegant solutions at =
this point in time for Ae.

But, it may interest you to know that your core idea still  has value.  =
When I transcode DSLR footage to ProRes, I use a duplicated instance of =
MPEG Streamclip.  Both instances are set to  use 4 processes, and when I =
do batch transcodes, this will max out all 8 cores of my MacPro, making =
the overall process go much faster.

And hey, keep the tips coming.  I've picked up so many great ones from =
this list.  Actually, I got your tip about five years ago on this very =
list, and used to employ it regularly, until Nucleo Pro, and then the =
Background Render script replaced it.
