I think you went the wrong way, Steve. An exposure of 1/25 of a second would guarantee up to two full cycles, whereas 1/100 could fall in between every other cycle and produce darkness, presuming a square wave light source that's on for 1/25 of a second, and off for 1/25 with no lag. Right?
