We actually track pixels from frame to frame to try to get an accurate picture of where pixels are moving, and then use that info to deflicker on a pixel-by-pixel basis. If you send me a clip with 30 or so frames offline (under 15 Mb) I can give it a whirl to see if DE:Noise can help.
