And actually render to SSD was two seconds slower. interesting. Likewise I noticed no difference in speed between .tiff sequence, .avi or .mov outputs. I have the i7 3930K overclocked to 4.7 GHz with 32 GB RAM @ 1600 MHz. The Cinebench64x score with HT on was actually 13.45. It's pretty amazing it's even comparable to dual xeon 5650s.
