You could apply it to the layers in the pre-comp instead, that should help.

Also I think Twixtor is smart enough to avoid cut points.

I assume you already have a large domain of the theory audiovisual and understands a little after.

I wish to one year ago had this e-book to give a north and an order of that study and research. More it is not complete, prepares your ass, because it will have to stay a long time studying and watching interviews and video classes (look for the best as the fxphd courses)
