Chris did you happen to note my point when I first replied, about Optical Flares having a known issue with the Quadro?

I wasn't getting KPs, but simple application crashes.  I did get one KP within hours of first installing my Quadro, but none since, and this (again) is my standard routine after getting one.  I also some times will zap the PRAM as well, just to start with a clean slate.

Sorry to be redundant, but this routine has worked well for me (so far).  I've also mentioned this on occasion:  An Apple "genius" once told me that "when you get a hardware failure with any computer, it just fails... you don't get a error screen.  Error screens point to a software or configuration issue."  I don't know if I totally buy that, but it makes a certain amount of sense.  For good measure, you could try re-installing your hardware drivers, in case something got corrupted.

But, I'm piqued by you having several machines having the KPs simultaneously... Maybe you're onto something with the air-conditioning.  Seems like that would be easy to test, if you have some control over the HVAC programming.

Best of luck running it down.

Jim C.
