Both apps will also let you control = the fan speed and monitor just about anything that has a temperature = sensor inside the mac. =20 I noticed in my office that when rendering, especially 3D, the inside = temps on the CPU's (Mac Pro 12 core) would get well into the 150's. = After turning up the fan speed just a tad, it brought it down about 30 = degrees. I'm not saying that the heat is the only reason for the KP's = but I'd definitely want to know how hot the machine was getting, = especially if the AC wasn't running. Maybe you could kick the fans up = at night to offset the warmer room?
