Not sure exactly what you mean. But if you scaled the null down to 25% before you parented the child layer would that work?Rob On 12/03/2012, at 4:45 PM, jarret langmeire wrote: Ah, gotcha.
How would I go about scaling the amplitude of the motion so if it moves 200px on the tracked layer, it moves only 50px on the child layer?

Hi Jarret, You can change the parents centre (anchor point), to match your layer's position! That's what I meant by "Offsetting". Cheers, Rob
Hi Robert, I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean you by "offset". Also, the layer would then use the parent null as the centre of rotation which would look odd.

Hi J, Apply the tracked data to a null, then parent your layer to it with an offset for position.

I feel a bit silly asking this here but my brain seems to have turned to mush and I'm having trouble thinking this one through.
I've tracked a handheld camera shot and now want to apply that tracking data to the layers in one of my comps, layers which already have animation data associated with them for position and rotation. What would be the easiest way to:
- apply the tracked animation data to the layers in the comp
- scale the amplitude of the tracked position and rotation data as it is too severe
Many thanks for any help.
