But in the normal business of this mailing list, it's more of a support and discussion list, and not to be confused with a forum for posting inquiries for work. If this were the case, I would have been dropping this type email every so often since joining this list. It's alright to post your reel and ask for feedback on work you've done, but I would consider it against the etiquette to try to drum up business clients via this list. What's more, a lot of people on this list are mostly just like you, if they are freelancers. Which means it's probably not the best venue for this sort of thing.
