I just create output templates with "Length of Comp" and templates with "Work Area" for my standard output formats so I can just quickly select the one I need. Since the main output template I created is "ProRes HQ MOS-Length of Comp" I set that as the default movie so most of the time I can just hit CTL-CMD-M and hit Render, especially if I know the last file I created was sent to the directory I want.
