I would create a pre-comped set of white 3d solids with a light that casts shadows on each other. Take that pre-comp into the comp with the image and set it above the image in multiply mode. The white solids should disappear and the shadows remain. Essentially creating a shadow catcher. The image doesn't look displaced, but you could also use the pre-comp as the displacement layer too.
