Just wanted to toss this out there FYI. I've been working on a project for a good long while that automates Ae renders via an app and on the web. I've been involved both in the template design (only one simple template right now, more in the pipeline) and the back-end implementation (which has been significant). It's been a satisfying mix of left-and-right brain application :)
