The Plustek scanners are pretty damn cheap. Or get an Epson and have a flexible multi-use machine. With the SCSI scanners you'll pretty much have to use VueScan for better or worse.

I need to scan some slides again, so wondering if what's better and more cost effective - a SCSI adaptor for my Mac Pro or to buy a new scanner for 35mm slides? It's not something I'll need and use every day, so I can't justify paying a lot.
