Reinforcing the point: In my case, they took 24 fps film, slowed it down =
to 23.976 video, and asked us to cut it against music. Their workflow =
was to lay the music back in against the film themselves. Unfortunately, =
the music they provided to us had not been through the same chain as the =
visuals, so we had to slow down the audio by the same amount to keep =
things in relative sync.
