Thanks Jayse, I wish we ha= d heard from you earlier, we've been in beta testing for several months and y= our projects would've been the perfect stress test!

To answer your question, in this instance the imported comp that you m= odified would be replaced by the comp in the external project. This is HUGE Chri= s!

We were definitely dreaming of this functionality on t= he project we just wrapped involving stereo HUDs for a little dude in an iro= n suit and a huge array of glass screens for a bad ass dude with an eyepatch= .

I think I saw your video at the start of that project la= st year and was drooling. Would have been a MEGA timesaver keeping +43,= 000 elements up to date across a few hundred shots. So I totally look forwar= d to abusing it in the future!

One question - the question that always arises with inst= ance type things - if we change the animation in the imported comp - then ch= ange something in the source comp aep - what happens. Do the links break - o= r do they overwrite the new animation - is there a warning - etc. ?

For every new issue this may bring up - this will be an e= xtremely welcome time saver!

Thanks for makin= g it!

The concept for the plug-in is simple, you import a project and have the= plug-in watch the file for updates, when a new version is saved ( or increm= ent of the file ) then you will be prompted with the option to update to the= most recent version automatically. Awesome, right?

We work in After Effects every day, so we've built the plug-in to feel a= s intuitive as possible to regular users of AE. It should be a natural exten= sion to your workflow.

We've spent a lot of time listening to o= ur beta testers feedback and suggestions, and we are confident that this wil= l change the way that you use After Effects. Feel free to contact us with an= y questions :i= nfo@roetechnologies.com

I hope you find this Plug-In as useful and exciting as we do!
