I have to apologise though, this is the first time I've staggered the release of a multi-part series so it's only part 1. Part 2 will look extensively at Freeform and Z-Born Toy. I'm hoping to finish it and upload it over the weekend. I'm not sure Freeform is even mentioned in part 1, even though we used it for everything...
In addition to recommending those lighting plugins and CC Glass, ditto for Brian's Caustics suggestion. I love that plugin...
