That is safe to say if both Mac + Win are set up well.

Not correct in our experience. For instance, ATI cards do not support some of the things we do on a Mac (yet - working on it with ATI + Apple) but the same card works just fine on same machine running under Win 7 Bootcamp.
Usually a driver problem... not a hardware problem.
