The Quadro 4000 = is about $750-800 street, and since it uses a single power connector = (and is only 1 slot wide) you have the option of adding a second one = later. And more RAM, for sure. I wish I had gotten 48 GB for my 12 core = instead of 24. If you're allowed to buy through the Apple online store, then definitely = check their refurbished machines often = (http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/mac) - 15% savings = is typical. All of our recent machines and monitors have been Apple = refurbs, and we're happy.
