I'll echo and reinforce opinions that you try to get the cheapest ATI card and least RAM, then add your own better components. The Quadro 4000 is about $750-800 street, and since it uses a single power connector (and is only 1 slot wide) you have the option of adding a second one later. And more RAM, for sure. I wish I had gotten 48 GB for my 12 core instead of 24.

If you're allowed to buy through the Apple online store, then definitely check their refurbished machines often (http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/mac) - 15% savings is typical. All of our recent machines and monitors have been Apple refurbs, and we're happy.

If you can wait until NAB, I would., as there tends to be announcements there.

Or should I spend the money on RAM?

I would like the system to possible work with Resolve or Adobe's new SpeedGrade (which I do not know that much about).

Of course, I will be running two screens.

Thanks!
