I see. Thanks, Stephen. A reseller here in Hollywood said he believes there will be an announcement about a new Mac Tower during NAB but if, as you say, there is none, it doesn't bode well. ProMax is touting a tower they say is ready to take the place of a Mac tower. I know from reading your posts you're a PC guy but I've been on a Mac for a long time and I'd be reluctant to be forced to go to another platform. However, in the world of iPads, iPhones, iTV, iPods, iMacs, iCloud – am I missing anything? – Apple may not have a financial stake in the needs of media professionals.

But if there is no Apple announcement in the NAB/CS6 window of new MacPros, that probably is sign the platform is going away. stephen van vuuren 336.202.4777 A film is – or should be – more like music than like fiction.
