FWIW, I don't have as much bias against Windows as some people think. In fact, I'm very aware how well CS5 (and no doubt CS6) perform on Windows. But as Dann points out, I've been a one-man Mac-only shop for 20 years. I own nearly every plugin written for AE, plus a boatload of other software accumulated and upgraded over that time. While *some* vendors may let me switch licenses if I go Windows, for the most part I'll need to replace 20 years of software purchases. And while I could still keep my Macs, I'd end up with some kind of unholy alliance, not unlike dogs and cats living together. So unless someone drops a $100K job on me, I'm pretty much married to the Mac, unless Apple forces me to do otherwise. Which when you get down to it is really the issue many of us are facing.
