| there is something else I wanted to say :) there is nothing stopping apple from killing their towers AND setting up something like a HP z800 OS X edition. they can easily tweak the installer to only install on select machines. HP can also easily tweak their BIOS to only run OS X on the blessed machines. Apple walks away from a low volume item and power users still have better towers than apple ever made. dual 16X PCIe slots with the power to run big dual GPU's, onboard raid controller, ect. Not Cheap :( but it would open a LOT of options. my bet is probably one last hurrah of mac towers and then plan B.... or iMacs get a graphics slot, more TB ports and its more than good enough for most folks S |
