If you get the right set of parts from a tested build with matching EFI
boot, it's much easier than it used to be. And AE, other than a video card,
is not hardware dependent. However, it's not like having a real Mac -
getting Premiere or FCP or an audio app running with specific hardware
drivers is not for the faint of heart, even for the tech savvy as often
terminal mode, Kext editing and more is involved.

 I, of course, did the hard way out of parts I had lying around but cost was
basically zero. But it's just a Core Duo machine for working with Apple
codec files, opening FCP/AE etc. projects and light render duty.
