This might be so with dual socket XEON machines when bought directly from HP, Dell Boxx.
But surely on single socket machines for half the price one can configure a much faster, expandable AND stable machine running win7x64, than a full fledged iMac.
Nowadays it is a rarity to have incompatibilities between components and with so many online reviews it is far easier to pick out the best.
