I can tell you that there is very little issue with plug ins at this point. I moved all my plug ins from CS5.5 to CS6 and only ran into a few small issues, which have already been addressed, so there should be very little to worry about. One of the other great features of CS6 is the expanded effects menu. For years I have run out of categories and everything past about Sapphire or "S" went into the other category. If you own a lot of plug ins, as I do, then you'll know what I mean. Getting to Tiffen, or Zax Invigorator or whatever, past "S" was a pain. That has now been fixed thanks to Daniel Ramirez at Adobe.
