Basically, fast or slow are good speeds, medium is usually trouble, especially at lower frame rates (e.g. 24fps). Don't be afraid to boost your motion blur as photos tend to be sharper anyway. stephen van vuuren 336.202.4777 http://www.sv2dcp.com/ http://www.sv2studios.com/ http://www.outsideinthemovie.com/ A film is - or should be - more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what's behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later. -Stanley Kubrick -----Original Message----- From: After Effects Mail List [mailto:AE-List@media-motion.tv] On Behalf Of Alex Czetwertynski Sent: Wednesday, April 18, 2012 7:44 PM To: After Effects Mail List Subject: [AE] Horizontal pan flicker I remember there was a good rule of thumb to avoid flicker when panning images or text at regular speeds horizontally or vertically. I am now rendering a very long pan across a bunch of cut out photos, and am fighting this flicker quite a bit...Does anyone have this multiplier in terms of maybe at how many pixels per second the elements need to move as per a given refresh rate?
