Within the AE lens blur, though, I assume that you have the ability to set a luminence value (0-255 in 8-bit) that drives your focal plane, correct? With this in mind, could one simply rig an expression using a Null and the sampleImage feature to do this? I know this involves more steps, but it accomplishes the general idea, correct? I'd love to hear any other thoughts comparing the two. Thanks!
