Well to answer (most of) my own questions...
After looking at the FAQ, I don't think it is possible to install on
multiple systems. You are allowed to intall on one primary computer & a home
computer or laptop (the same as with the standard licenses).
The license check/activation occurs every 30 days. An internet connection in
the meantime is not required. This means that an on-the-fly license check
system isn't happening.
I guess theoretically you can install on multiple systems & then just go
through the deactivate/active actions to use the license on a different
system (again, the same as with the standard licenses).
There is mention of Creative Cloud Team which could possibly include more
license shring options but there are no details at this time.
To answer Rich's question - yes, you have access to both Mac & PC versions.
I guess for US$29.99 per month for existing users for the first year it's
basically a no-brainer, at least to try it. For less than the cost of a CS6
upgrade I get access to the latest versions of the complete CS6 suite AND I
still have my original CS5 license running on a different system. If after
the year I decide it's not for me, I can cancel the membership & upgrade my
normal license to CS6.5 or CS7.
