Zaxwerks Layer Warp was born for this effect.
You'll be able to animate the curl and the turn the pages at the center or top or wherever you want. There's a menu to choose the picture so all you have to do is set up the animation once then switch out the pages with a simple menu choice.

I'm wondering whether anyone here knows of a solution that will allow me to
generate a page turn in AE. However, I'm not looking for the standard one
in which the page turns around the axis on the edge of frame but rather for
one that turns around the axis (i.e. spine of the book) in the centre of
frame. Of course it's not a problem building this manually (especially
since the page does not need to bend or curl) but I've got to apply this
effect to a shedload of clips and was hoping to automate it in some way.
