Hello Lists,
Fabrizio, it's a good sign you saw the login screen asking for the username and password. This means the animation ran correctly. It is the actual AE animation embedded in a HTML5 canvas.
Lloyd, Thanks I hope you liked it. The code embeds the rendered AE composition in a HTML5 Canvas and displays it on the screen (double buffered). Moreover there are HTML controls added to the website that allow user interaction. Actually several AE compositions are combined in the page.
Your last question is a good one. It does not directly connect to AE, it just shows the beauty of what can be done in AE embedded in a website.
Sorry for the delay, Lists,
Regards,

Hi Nikos,
This looks very interesting but I am not clear on what I am seeing. It allows you to play an mp4 movie in the browser or is it recreating the animation from the movie in the HTML5? And I am curious how it connects with the AE Comp?
Cheers, Lloyd

Hi Lists,
This small After Effects with HTML Canvas Proof of Concept can be viewed at:
It basically contains a tiny engine written in JavaScript to display with AE produced compositions inside a webbrowser, It does not use Flash and includes input boxes for processing the user interaction.
Doesn't work on all Browsers though, the ones I successfully ran it on were:
* Windows 7 - Google Chrome Browser * Mac OSX Lion - Safari Browser
You can download the complete tarball if you are interested:
Have a nice day,
Nikos
